What do you get when you combine a major sporting event with an outdoor concert in the middle of one of Nashville’s busiest intersections during the winter? You get the 2016 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend. And what do you say when it’s your company that’s asked to make it all happen? Well, we said game on.

Forming a Plan

With only a year to spare after securing the bid to become host city for the 2016 Honda NHL® All-Star Weekend, the Nashville Sports Council didn’t waste time getting the right players involved. With Morris on the team, the game plan going forward was simple: create a world-class, unforgettable experience showcasing all that Music City had to offer.

Five separate locations. Indoor and outdoor components. Hundreds of pieces of A/V equipment. Musicians, athletes and fans. And Mother Nature. Our team of experts pulled out all the stops to tackle the unique logistical elements of the event, while also adhering to strict NHL brand guidelines. Even the biggest snowstorm in more than a decade the weekend before the festivities began didn’t stop us from making Music City shine.

Setting the Stage

The flawless execution of each component throughout the weekend set Nashville up to compete for future large-scale sporting events and solidified the city’s reputation as a destination that can handle similarly complicated productions. By proving our capabilities, we helped tee up our home city for that next big spotlight moment.

The detail in which they took consideration of to add to the experience was remarkable. The way it was programmed, it wasn’t just lights out, it was a show. It was planned out like a proper theatrical presentation should be, which you don’t always get for a one-off sporting event. Out of all of our All-Star weekends, this was the best by far and I’d work with Morris again in a heartbeat.
